This blog on Tehelka  was no less than a shocker for me as much as Tarun Tejpals  sexual assault news. I incidentally stumbled upon this poetry blog by some Rajkumar who has used objectionable language for girls//women in the magazine section of hindi edition. I felt disgusted not only after going through the concluding lines of the poem , where the poet has used  बिकाऊ  (for sale) word for a particular segment of girls but also the comments  which are worse than the poem . I have copy pasted not only the link but also the entire page along with comments for people to read . It looks like mag section of  Tehelka  that is much in news these days  yet  not too sure  but I wonder how can an editor allow such material to be published on a public platform . आयोजकों की चिंदियां

फिर भी नहीं होतीं वे खूबसूरत

उनके चेहरे पर चमकता है बाजार

अंतत: खारिज हो जाती हैं अगले साल

खूबसूरत लड़कियां नहीं मिलती प्रतियोगिताओं से

खूबसूरत लड़कियां जूझती हैं जीवन से

उनके चेहरे पर चमकती हैं पसीने की बूंदें

उनके दिल में होती है निश्‍‍छलता

नहीं जानतीं वे बाजार भाव

वे बिकाऊ नहीं होतीं

खूबसूरत लड़कियां नहीं मिलतीं आसानी से होती हैं कई प्रतियोगिताएं मिस सिटी से मिस यूनिवर्स तक अब मिसेज भी होने लगी हैं इसके बावजूद नहीं मिलतीं उनके चेहरे पर लिपे होते हैं प्रायोजकों के लेप हर अंग पर लिपटी होती हैं आयोजकों की चिंदियां फिर भी नहीं होतीं वे खूबसूरत उनके चेहरे पर चमकता है बाजार अंतत: खारिज हो जाती हैं अगले साल खूबसूरत लड़कियां नहीं मिलती प्रतियोगिताओं से खूबसूरत लड़कियां जूझती हैं जीवन से उनके चेहरे पर चमकती हैं पसीने की बूंदें उनके दिल में होती है निश्‍‍छलता नहीं जानतीं वे बाजार भाव वे बिकाऊ नहीं होतीं                                             राजू कुमार

बहूत अच्छी किवता िलखी है राजू जी आपने, आजकल खूबसूरती का मतलब ही बदल गया है, पहले खूबसूरती चेहरे से आैर आचरण से हाेती थी आैर आज खूबसूरती नंगा हाेकर अपना िजश्म िदखाने को कहते हैं.
आैरतें या लऱिकयां जो भी ईस तरह के प्रोग्राम में भाग लेते हैं अपने आप को बहूत ही आधूिनक समझते हैं, क्या पूरी जनता के सामने नंगा होना ही आैरतों का आधूनीकरण है?
अगर ऐसा है तो मैं तवायफ को ईन लोगों से कहीं अच्छा मानता हूं, तवायफ तो अपना िजश्म िसर्फ अपने गर्ाहक को ही िदखाती है, लेिकन ये लऱिकयां अपना िजश्म पूरी दूिनया को िदखाती हैं

आप मर्द हैं और भारतीय समाज की व्यवस्था के मुताबिक आप आज़ाद हैं। कभी उस औरत की तरह दोहरी ज़िम्मेदारियां निभा कर देखिए जो आपको वह जिगरा देती है कि आप जाइए और मुल्क पर कुर्बान हो जाएं। पीछे से जो भी होगा उससे खुद ही निपटती हैं। आखिर स्त्री को दोयम दर्जे पर रखना आप लोग कब बंद करेंगे? इस तमाम शिक्षा प्रणाली और विकासवादी मानसिकता का क्या लाभ हो रहा है समाज को? चूड़ियां पहनना मतलब है अपने हाथ खुद बांध लेना। मर्यादा, लिहाज़ और शर्म के बंधनों में। कभी ऐसी बकवास बातें करने वालों को बंधन में बांध कर बैठाइए। तब यह जानेंगे कि चूड़ियां पहनने का मतलब क्या होता है।

दिल्ली में चलती बस में सामुहिक बलात्कार मामले के बाद दोषियों को फांसी देने या नपुंसक बनाने पर चर्चा हो रही है। आज जब कांग्रेस और भाजपा समेत कई राजनीतिक दल बलात्कारी को रासायनिक तरीके से नपुंसक बनाने की पैरवी कर रहे हैं तो इस सुझाव के कानूनी पहलू, व्यावहारिकता और परिणाम जांचना लाजमी है। इस तरह का सुझाव पिछले तैंतीस साल में दो बार अदालती पैâसलों में आया। राजेंद्र प्रसाद बनाम उत्तर प्रदेश मामले के पैâसले पर सुप्रीम कोर्ट की संविधान पीठ ने १९८२ में ‘बच्चन िंसह बनाम पंजाब राज्य’ मामले की सुनवाई के दौरान फिर विचार किया। जब बलात्कारी को नपुंसक बनाने की वैकाqल्पक सजा के सुझाव का जिक्र हुआ तो पीठ ने उसे हंसी में टाल दिया। बच्चन िंसह की ओर से पेश हुए वकील डीके गर्ग कहते हैं, ‘कोर्ट ने सुझाव से असहमति जताई थी। कोर्ट की टिप्पणी थी कि ऐसी सजा वैâसे दी जा सकती है न्यायपालिका को अधिकार नहीं है कि वह स्वयं सजा तय करे और फिर वही सजा सुना दे। अदालत कानून के दायरे में रहकर ही सजा सुना सकती है।’ गर्ग की बात से दिल्ली हाई कोर्ट के पूर्व न्यायाधीश आरएस सोढ़ी भी सहमति जताते हैं। सोढ़ी बच्चन िंसह मामले में पंजाब सरकार के वकील थे। उन्होंने कहा, कोर्ट ने सुझाव को गंभीरता से नहीं लिया था। अदालत का कहना था कि यह वैâस्ट्रेशन कहां से आ गया? वैâस्ट्रेशन वैâसे कर सकते हैं? अदालत ऐसा नहीं कह सकती। गौरतलब है। कि भारत में महिलाओं के प्रति बढ़ते यौन अपराधों को रोकने के लिए बलात्कारी को रासायनिक तरीके से नपुंसक बनाने की बात चल रही है। ऐसे में अगर इसके दृष्टांत खंगाले जाएं तो पता चलता है कि अमेरिका के वर्जीनिया में आनुवांशिक रूप से मंदबुद्धि लोगों के जबरन नपुंसक बनाने का कानून लागू था। यूएस सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने १९२७ में ‘बक बनाम बेल’ मामले में इसे संवैधानिक ठहराया था।

Tarun Tejpal 's self imposed vacation

Is  six months self imposed vacation sufficient punishment for sexual assault  accused Tarun Tejpal ? And can Shoma  Chowdhry  address a sexual assault an internal matter ? Does that show the face of pseudo society of our country ?

Tarun Tejpall who is accused of sexually assaulting a woman journalist on the 7th November 2013, the opening night of Tehelka’s Think festival at Goa, and was followed by the second assault the next night according to Outlook magazine, which also reports that Tejpal threatened the girl that yielding to his demands was the easiest way to keep her job.The code of watchdogs dictates that if one of us is the thief, we must pounce on him with the same ferocity as we do on others. Tarun Tejpal's alleged sexual assault must be treated the same way as Asaram's alleged rape(s).

Tarun Tejpal, the Editor-in-Chief of investigative magazine Tehelka, stepped down after allegations of sexual assault were made against him by a woman colleague. Tejpal  stepped aside from his role for a period of six months. Surprisingly Shoma Chowdhry who is often seen on television channels  debating for harsher punishment for rape accused  chose to remain silent over two weeks. Tejpal and Chaudhury both tried to keep the nature of the 'untoward/unfortunate' incident shrouded in mystery, it wasn't long before the gory details started to tumble out finally made a public statement saying she needs more time for investigation.

Shouldn't Shoma Chowdhry who was on a Newsweek list of 150 Women who Shake the World -- must have taken the charges seriously and set up a sexual harassment panel in office as per the Supreme Court's Vishakha judgement guidelines . Also as per Supreme Court's guide lines she should have reported the matter to police as it was her responsibility to do so ? Instead Chaudhury, did not confirm or deny if this was a case of alleged sexual harassment and refused to specify what the "incident" was, claiming it was "an internal matter" If we go by Shoma and the internal matter of Tehelka  then we should consider Nirbhaya Rape Case as internal matter of the transporter.  To conclude no way  Tejpal can be treated differently from others accused of having committed a crime under section 376 Indian Penal Code .He must be tried in the court and punished .
